The Virtual Gallery of The Korean War Educator is an online museum created to feature
photographs of actual objects used on the Korean peninsula during the Korean War and since the cease fire. Our
viewers are invited to participate in the building of this page by sending pictures to The Korean War Educator
of objects that relate to the following categories:
- Ships and airplanes that carried men and supplies to Korea from the USA and other countries
- Uniforms
- Weapons (both small arms and heavy weapons)
- Other equipment of all types
- Entertainment in Korea
- Holidays in Korea
- Graves Registration
- Care of the Wounded and Sick
- The Korean people & culture
- Allied troops
- The enemy
- Weather-related
- American servicemen and women
- The front line
- Support units in the rear
- Rotation/R&R
Perhaps you have your mess kit, a picture of someone receiving a package from home, or a great photograph of
that BAR you carried. Maybe you have a souvenir from Korea or when you went on R&R in Japan. Even a
shoebox full of letters or a postcard of the ship that took you to or from Korea would make a great addition to
the Virtual Gallery. Graphics showing the various unit patches associated with the Korean War would be
terrific. The possibilities are endless.
Again, this page of The Korean War Educator is about objects. The purpose of the page is to help educate and
familiarize the KWE's visitors with tangible objects used by allied and enemy troops to fight the war in Korea
and beyond. The categories are not confined to the ones just mentioned. Photos of other tangible objects used
during the war years are also acceptable and welcome. Send your photo and description to Lynnita Brown at
